Q: How can I pay for an item? A: Cheques payable to 'Beltane Equestrian' or Susan Maxwell and posted to 88 Georgetown Road, Dumfries, DG1 4DF with order request or cash/cheque upon delivery. With Staffordshire orders please pay Emma.
Q: How long will it take for a handmade item to be with me? A: Due to the leatherworking process and the pure handcrafting of each item please be prepared to wait at least 3 weeks for your order to be completed. I deal in a strictly rotational order with work in order to return you item asap.
Q: Can you make unusual bridles that I cannot buy in a shop? A: Yes. If you can describe what you want and either provide a picture or a description of your requirements then I can make a bridle to your specifications. For example a raised, padded noseband with your choice of colour of leather on the padding, or a bespoke bridle for a horse with an in-between head.
Q: Can you just fix my saddle at the yard?
A: In most occasions I will need the facilitites in my workshop to make repairs/reflock your saddle. If I get a full description of needs then I may be able to do a minor repair at your yard. Microchipping can be done at your yard without removal of saddle. If i need your saddle then I aim to return it to you within 7 days - the record for a full reflocking and return to customer is 48 hours at the moment! Please note that I am note affiliated to any saddle seller but I will try to find a suitable saddle for your horse through pre-owned saddles which are for safe from other horse owners in our area.
Q - Where can I leave items for you?
A: Items can be left at Tarff, Town and Country Store, Lockerbie Road, Dumfries, with Graeme Findlater, or with me personally. For Staffordshire please contact Emma directly for details of the collect and return service for rugs.
Q - Do you cover the whole of Dumfries and Galloway?
A - at the moment I cover as far as Moffat and Newton Stewart. I will be at Calgow at newton Stewart on a monthly or 5 week rotation so please call if you are in that area to find the next date and book an appointment.
